Landmark Luxury Home Site Concept Designed by Award-Winning Architectural Firm Drewett Works
Take in the breathtaking views from “Saddleridge” – two mountainside lots combined to create over 16 acres of private topography at the height of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve in Phoenix, Arizona. Sprawling views stretch for miles in every direction and range from peering down over the top of Camelback Mountain to the South, the McDowell Mountains to the North, the Superstition Mountains to the EAst and the twinkling lights of Downtown Phoenix.
Located in the prestigious 24/7 guard-gated community of Clearwater Hills in Paradise Valley, the lots boast the prize of being the highest buildable estate site in Greater Phoenix, and have now been conceptualized by an award-winning architectural design firm Drewett Works to showcase the property’s unique mountaintop location, world-class views and unlimited creative potential.
The progressive architectural concept designed by CP Drewett with floor plans, 3D rendered images and a fly-through virtual tour showcases a 20,000+ sq. ft. example build that can be scaled down to accommodate any size or caliber of home. Architectural features seen throughout the contemporary concept include soaring walls of glass, negative edge pools, flowing indoor-outdoor hybrid spaces, viewing decks, helicopter pad and a motor court to hold numerous luxury cars to compliment the private ¼ mile drive up to the home. Further ideas for the property include sustainable utilities such as solar arrays, sourcing water from the mountain’s natural wells and a custom electric tram system to take residents and guests from the lower entry point up into the main home site.
“I think this is a historic design and I am incredibly proud of this piece of work,” noted Drewett, who hopes to further conceptualize this project with anyone who would find interest in this one-of-a-kind building opportunity in Phoenix.
Owner of the “Saddleridge” lots, Denver resident and Scottsdale native Joe Freeman, says he was inspired to purchase this rare land opportunity in 2011 after being influenced by the “stunning” views Clearwater Hills offered him growing up as a child. A friend of Freeman’s who is currently working on restoring Camelback Mountain’s famous “Castle House” called him and told him about two adjoining lots on Red Ledge Drive.
“They were described to me as ‘the best lots in the Valley plus thirty percent’”, says Freeman. “There is literally no comparable property. The views, the setting, the ultimate privacy and solitude up there are unparalleled.”
“I think this is a historic design and I am incredibly proud of this piece of work,” noted lead architect on the project CP Drewett, who hopes to further conceptualize this project with anyone who would find interest in this one-of-a-kind building opportunity in Phoenix.
The lots are currently being offered at $5.25 million by Wendy Walker of Wendy Walker Fine Properties with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Biltmore-Paradise Valley office.
